About neighborhood kids

blending ministry with early childhood education

Neighborhood Kids is the first-ever preschool exclusively housed within church spaces, blending ministry with early childhood education in an unprecedented way. It truly takes a special team to make this transformative mission come to life. As educators, our determination is to empower children to recognize their innate purpose and lead successful lives anchored in Christian values. We show up every day motivated by this responsibility and a broader vision of opening over 1,000 preschools all over America in partnership with churches.

Meet Isaiah the Baby Eagle

The Heart of Neighborhood Kids

High up in a cozy nest nestled in the tallest tree lives a sweet baby eagle named Isaiah. He’s curious, playful, and just about the same age as the children who come to Neighborhood Kids, full of wonder and learning something new every day!

Isaiah’s story is inspired by one of our favorite Bible verses:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah wasn’t so sure about flying at first. He would sit near the edge of the nest and watch the bigger eagles soar across the sky. It looked exciting, but also a little scary. What if his wings weren’t strong enough?

Each day, his mama, Livie, gently reminded him of God’s promises. “God made your wings strong,” she whispered. “And when you trust in Him, He will help you fly.” Mama Livie’s words were always full of love, and her encouragement helped Isaiah grow in faith.

She believed deeply in the amazing potential God had placed in Isaiah, and she knew that with time and trust, he would experience incredible growth- inside and out.

One bright morning, Isaiah felt ready. He stretched out his tiny wings, took a deep breath, and leapt. The wind caught him—and up he went, soaring for the very first time! Not because he was the biggest or the fastest, but because his heart was full of faith.

At Neighborhood Kids, Isaiah reminds us that even the smallest wings were made to soar. Our students, just like baby Isaiah, are growing stronger every day, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We believe that when children grow up knowing God’s love, they are equipped to grow with confidence, realize their full potential, and make a lasting impact in the world around them.

Isaiah is more than a mascot, he’s our daily reminder that with God’s love, guidance, and a little faith, every child can rise up and become exactly who they were created to be.

With hearts full of wonder and wings full of promise, our students are learning, growing, and soaring, just like Isaiah.

Come grow with us, Isaiah can’t wait to meet you!

Our values

Nurturing God's Purpose in Every Child

We believe each child carries unique, divine potential waiting to be discovered. Through intentional care and Christ-centered education, we cultivate the seeds of faith, character, and learning in their most formative years. Our partnerships with like-minded churches create flourishing environments where children discover their God-given gifts and purpose, building foundations that will shape their journey of faith and learning.

Potential

We support every child’s unique purpose, empowering them to unlock their full potential to achieve it.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us a new in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10

Impact

We are dedicated to preparing children to make a positive impact in their families and communities. Through our unique partnership with local churches, we create opportunities for engagement that empower children and their families to become exceptional Christian leaders. Together, we foster a culture of service and love, inspiring future generations to leave a lasting, transformative impact on the world around them.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.
-Matthew 5:16

Love

We teach children by example to love their neighbors as they love themselves.

For the whole law can be summed up in one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself”
– Galatians 5:14

Faith

We nurture each child’s spiritual journey by instilling the values of faith, hope and love. Through enriching, biblical teachings, prayer and chapel woven naturally throughout the day, we create a foundation that inspires children’s hearts and minds to grow in Christ’s love.

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
– Romans 10:17

Growth

We provide a nurturing environment where children can grow physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually, while emphasizing the virtuous traits of kindness, compassion, respect and self-control.

Train up a child in the way he should go. And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Founders

Our President and Co-Founder, Frank Toral, is an attorney, entrepreneur, and pastor.  Mr. Toral spent more than 20 years of his career in leadership, working at the helm of his successful law firm and on the executive team of a large, non-denominational church.
In 2017, Mr. Toral and his wife, Olivia, founded Promise Life Chapel in Wellington, Florida.  Promise Life Kids, the church’s children’s ministry, served as a valuable community foothold for young, local families.  Though the church would ultimately close its doors just ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic, God’s plan was already in motion.

In 2019, the Torals acquired two Wellington-based preschools, which were established in 1978.  Recognizing the community value in their previous children’s ministry, they built a new early childhood education program based on Christian foundations and Godly family values, and the Neighborhood Kids concept was born.  Over the next several years, the Torals and their early childhood team grew the concept into multiple locations, building a robust early childhood education program and Christ-centered franchise opportunity.

A new chapter to the Toral’s Legacy of Leadership is now unfolding.  Now, Mr. Toral and Olivia are offering Churches the opportunity to become the Owner-Operators of Neighborhood Kids Schools (NKS) within their existing facilities.
Equally exciting is NKS’s current offering to Faith-driven Entrepreneurs to own a Neighborhood Kids School inside of a mission aligned Church.
